#1 St. Fabian Student Theater Group

It’s a night out for the entire family St. Fabian Student Theater Group is putting on the Wizard of Oz.  All tickets are $10.

#4 Test Ride a Pony at Pretty Pony Pastures in Davisburg

Test Ride a Pony at Pretty Pony Pastures in Davisburg.  $17/child and it takes place at Pretty Pony Pastures. Bring kids to ride and care for a horse. Ages 4-12; special needs welcome. Register in advance for one of the following time slots:

#6 Zoo Brew

It’s Zoo Brew from 6 to 10 p.m. $45 in advance | $50 at the door | $85 VIP | $30 Designated Driver (DD). Zoo Brew features unique beers from select Michigan craft breweries, live music, exclusive access to the Zoo’s award-winning habitats until twilight and zookeeper talks. The event includes admission and 12 beer samples (additional tasting tickets and food are available for purchase). Advance ticket purchase is encouraged as space is limited and the event may sell out. Tickets will be available online or at the gate (if not sold out).

A limited number of Zoo Brew VIP tickets are available. For $85, guests will receive all of the features of the general admission ticket, unlimited food, exclusive access to the VIP lounge and four additional beer samples DD tickets include Zoo admission and unlimited soft drinks. DD ticket holders are not permitted to consume alcohol at the event.  All attendees must be 21 or older; photo ID is required. Parking is $7 per car for Members and non-members.

Join ECRC on Second Friday for our Healing Service with Tom Naemi at ECRC.  Every month, you are invited to bring your intentions to the Lord, hear fellow Christians give witness to their faith and spend time singing praise and thanks to God at our Healing Service.

Listen to Tom evangelize the faith through scripture and often reflect on his own journey from behind prison bars to finding freedom in Christ.  It is being held at 6:30 p.m.

#10 32nd Annual JDRF Promise Ball

Grab your sombrero and join us for the 32nd Annual JDRF Promise Ball on Friday, May 5, at MGM Grand Detroit from 6:30 to 11 p.m.

The Promise Ball raises funds for JDRF’s mission of accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications. Sandy Pierce, chairman at Huntington Bank-Michigan, is this year’s corporate chair, and Ford Motor Company is the event’s presenting sponsor.

The Promise Ball features a festive cocktail reception followed by a gourmet seated dinner. Guests will then have an opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind live auction packages. The evening concludes with live music and dancing.

#14 Free Legal Aid Clinic

The Legal Aid and Defender Association and the Oakland County Law Library have partnered together to offer free legal aid clinics to low income individuals at the Oakland County Law Library.  The clinics are held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. every other Wednesday.  Attendees may register in the Law Library any time before 3:00 p.m.

The clinics focus on civil law issues only for individuals and families.  Attorneys will inform individuals about court procedures and forms, advise them of their rights, and in some cases represent them in court.  The clinics are available to residents of Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne Counties.

*An Arabic and Chaldean Speaking attorney will be available.
