Exploring Our Culture

CCF West welcomed New Detroit’s Multicultural Leadership Program participants for an immersive experience, focusing on the history, culture, and socioeconomics of Chaldean Americans.

Participants from New Detroit’s Multicultural Leadership Series enjoyed powerful stories of two refugees who shared their personal journeys of acculturation and professional growth, sparking thoughtful dialogue around the refugee experience. Attendees also toured CCF West and learned about the many community programs to come.

The day concluded at Shenandoah Country Club, where the group enjoyed traditional Chaldean cuisine and a tour of the Chaldean Cultural Center Museum, which will soon have a new home at the CCF’s West Bloomfield location.
