Breaking Barriers Celebrates 14 Years

The Chaldean Community Foundation’s Breaking Barriers Program continues to create meaningful opportunities for participants to learn, grow, connect, and build confidence. This summer, the program celebrated its 14th anniversary on Aug. 21 with more than 200 attendees enjoying an afternoon of joy, community, and traditional dancing. Participants also took part in a hands-on gardening experience, learning to plant, care for, and watching their plants grow while developing responsibility, teamwork, and social skills.

The summer activities continued with a circus-themed celebration on Sep. 10, featuring engaging activities, movement, and age-appropriate exercises that encouraged participants to stay active and connected. Students from the CCF’s Little Scholars Preschool and Pre-K also joined the fun. Together, these experiences reflect the heart of the Breaking Barriers Program, creating opportunities for individuals to participate, building independence and confidence, and experiencing the joy of community.
