What is on your wish list for 2021? What activities are you looking forward to?

In the hopes that life starts going back to normal, I have lots planned for 2021. As president of a charity organization, I am looking forward to hosting fundraising events throughout 2021 to support locals in need. What I look forward to and hope for the most is having normal family gatherings and holidays again.

The activities on my wish list for 2021: recover from my recent knee injury…spend more time with family and friends …a vacation somewhere tropical so I can relax and unwind from all of the chaos and stress of 2020. I hope to get back into fitness again and make mental health a priority. If restaurants finally open up again, you can be sure to find me trying local spots around Metro Detroit and sharing them to my new food blog!

I’m really looking forward applying to the hygiene program of Michigan University to become a hygienist. I’m also looking forward to booking more photography sessions with clients. Finally, I’m looking forward to reading more books relating to personal growth.

In 2021, I would love to get more involved in outdoorsy activities. Rock climbing peaks my interest, as it involves finger strength, core strength and critical thinking to be successful. Besides rock climbing, I have always been interested in camping. I have never been, as my friends and family also haven’t been camping. The nature of having to survive out in the wilderness seems very appealing to me.

I’m most looking forward to seeing my friends again and going out in crowded places! As much as Covid-19 allowed me more time for self-reflection, I’m ready to resume normal life. I’m especially excited to stop by my favorite restaurants and go shopping without fear. I’m also excited to start going back to the gym and ice skating without worrying or having to wear a mask!

I plan to fundraise monetary donations as well as necessities for the less fortunate. I also plan to provide more learning opportunities towards mental health care to my family, friends, and acquaintances, with hopes to strengthen the importance of mental health. I plan to complete my undergraduate education, obtaining my degree in Psychology and moving forward to PA school. I wish well for everyone in this upcoming year!

When 2021 arrives I want to give back to the poor and those who are struggling more than I have in the past by making lunch bags filled with a balanced meal and other treats for them to enjoy. Doing this will not only give me joy, but it will also make someone’s day knowing that they were thought of. Acts of Kindness are one of the greatest gifts you can give someone, and I want to work on offering more Acts of Kindness in 2021.

A few activities that are on my wish list for 2021 are: exploring amazing places around the world with scenic views and nature, taking up more skiing, and also taking up more intense Pilates classes. Gyms being closed & classes being canceled, I have been incorporating yoga and Pilates at home 5 times a week! In this past year, it has definitely enhanced mindfulness & improved my overall wellbeing. I can say I definitely can’t live without it.
