“Miniature Masterpieces — A String Serenade,” will be held Sunday, January 19, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Chapel in Plymouth. Enjoy a delightful afternoon as the Michigan Philharmonic Strings create a Sunday serenade sure to please. Musical treats from Holst, Bartok, and Tchaikovsky, along with a little local flair, are all part of this special concert. Michigan Philharmonic’s music director and conductor, Nan Washburn, has curated a unique concert, mixing petite pieces with distinctive flair. A surprising range of beautiful music, from Bartok’s Romanian Folk Dances to Paquito D’Rivera’s Wapango, will delight as the audience enjoys the surroundings of the beautiful St. John’s Chapel.
