Dr. Ali Tatar is the governor of Duhok. He is well-educated and has several degrees from the university there. In 2008, he completed his PhD in history. Four years later, he became a lecturer and eventually a professor. Since 2002, Tatar has worked with the Duhok Intelligence and Security Agency and became the governor in 2020.
