People Driven Credit Union’s New President & CEO
People Driven Credit Union has announced a major leadership transition, naming Chief Lending Officer Tommy Gasso as President and CEO-Elect, effective immediately. In this role, Gasso will begin a structured transition into full executive leadership of the organization, preparing to officially assume the position of President and CEO on January 1, 2027.
He will succeed longtime President and CEO Renee DeMarco, who is set to retire at the end of 2026 after years of leadership guiding the credit union’s growth and community impact. The planned transition is designed to ensure continuity, stability, and a seamless handover of executive responsibilities.
According to the credit union’s announcement, the appointment also represents a historic milestone for the organization and the broader financial services sector. Gasso will become the first Chaldean American to serve as CEO of a credit union, marking a significant moment of representation for the Chaldean American business and professional community.
Gasso’s elevation from Chief Lending Officer to CEO-Elect reflects his long-standing role in shaping the institution’s lending strategy, member services, and financial performance. His leadership trajectory signals both internal confidence in his experience and a broader emphasis on developing continuity in executive succession planning.
The transition period leading into 2027 will allow Gasso to work closely with DeMarco and the senior leadership team to ensure operational alignment.
