Managing Editor’s Note

I have been fortunate enough to work on the Chaldean News for nearly three years. After the Chaldean Community Foundation purchased the publication, I was even more fortunate to be appointed to the Managing Editor position. Since then, I have been entrusted with helping to produce this publication each month. As much as I have enjoyed working with the amazing editorial board committee to transform the Chaldean News, the time has come for me to move on.

Over the last few years, I have covered several stories that will stick with me for years to come. Most prominently, the deportation crisis will stay with me. As I covered the class action lawsuit, Hamama v. Adducci , and tried my best to amplify the stories of community members impacted by this crisis, I also dealt with my own father’s potential deportation. This story is personal to me. Having the opportunity to be on the ground floor covering it is one I would not have had if it were not for the Chaldean News.

I’ve enjoyed telling the stories of so many talented and driven individuals in our community; these individuals inspire me. I look forward to reading these stories in future issues.

Thank you to everyone who has read my articles, offered feedback, and supported my work!
