Subdiaconate Ordination

On Sunday, December 5, the annual Diocesan “Day of Vocations,” the community celebrated as Namir Narra received his stole and was ordained to the subdiaconate—bringing him one step closer to ordination to the priesthood. The ceremony and Mass were celebrated by Bishop Francis Kalabat at Mar Addai Chaldean Church in Oak Park, Michigan.

3rd Annual CCF Gala

On November 11, the Chaldean Community Foundation celebrated their annual Gala, honoring four health systems as Humanitarians of the Year: Ascension, Beaumont Health, Henry Ford Health System, and McLaren-Macomb Hospitals. Also honored this year was Mike Samona and Wild Bill’s Tobacco as Philanthropists of the Year.

41 Years of the Voice

Chaldean Voice Radio celebrated its 41st year of operation last month at Shenandoah Country Club. The Chaldean Voice honored Father Boji with a lifetime achievement award for 33 years of uninterrupted work at the radio station. Boji contributed 1,716 episodes to the radio over the years. The Chaldean Voice also presented an award for Dhia Babbie, who died last year. Babbie’s 38 years of volunteer service were crucial to Chaldean Voice’s success.
